The Boy Who Cried Wolf

do not bother convincing me,
nor attempt, for the matter.
I’m certain your methods,
while dubious,
hide a nobler intent

you will swear to as much
after the fact,
cretin

you might have tried
the human thing
and have been honest
from the first

swear to me that
“this time…” and so on,
I’ll have none of it.

by your nature
are you damned,
For that is your identity.
To any and all
that come to know you,
liar

may your conjured devils
torment you as well.
