demystified

Cadborosaurus, Naitaka,
or Ogopogo
supposedly
an aquatic serpent
(plesiosaur was ruled-out)
lives
in the deep, dark
of Lake Okanagan
seems more like a tourist trap
and an excuse to sell
T-shirts
however (1991) a submarine
and a wealthy man
explored
the curvature of the lake
found
no mystery
and some sturgeon
(let’s not forget that
famous Nessie photo is
a proven hoax)

it’s the Big Foot problem again
if
Mr. Foot is a missing link
between Man and Ape
then
he falls outside the
evolutionary ladder, and thus
cannot exist
unless we are to suppose
that an ancient hominid species
exists
to this day

we would need to shift
our reality paradigm
to allow for this
inclusion
and admit that it is not
a link between Man and anything
but
a notion
that a larger hominid species existed
alongside our ancestors
and did not exert its dominance over
our barbaric predecessors
or
that we fled from it
grew in multitude
and are now searching for this elusive
creature
that
should have the primitive instinct
to not
be afraid
of us

(ridiculous)
another
Lost City of Atlantis
I
doubt very much
Plato could have assumed
that his picto-graphical treatise
on how a hypothetical parliament may
govern a probable society
would be unfortunately translated
into literal terms
by a superfuture people who feel
a
world without mystery
is boringly complete

Plato envisioned his Atlantis
at a time when the whole
of the Earth was not known
nor
could he have imagined a
psychological impact that knowledge
would have
on the societies of our time

it’s
Alien Autopsy
The Roswell Crash
area 51
science fiction
media hyperbole
the Lost City
sea monsters
Slenderman
Unicorns
etc.

it’s the Lovecraftian fixation
with the unknown

people have died searching for
these
lost odysseys
spent their lives into insanity
defending
a dream
science does not validate
